Job summary

Pro-Akademia in Poland seeks a Master-level researcher to contribute to the MOBILES Horizon Europe project, focusing on developing biological biosensors and assessing environmental safety. The role covers microbiological and molecular work with GMOs, data analysis, and collaboration with international partners.

Responsibilities include experimental design, documentation, and preparation of reports/publications, with emphasis on biosafety and environmental risk assessments.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in biotechnology, biology, microbiology, biochemistry or related discipline.
• Hands-on laboratory experience using microbiological and/or molecular biology techniques.
• Aseptic techniques and basic lab procedures.
• Ability to carry out experiments independently following established procedures.
• Document lab work, data, and summaries.
• Strong reading of scientific literature and data interpretation.
• English proficiency at least B2 level.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the MOBILES Horizon Europe project focusing on biosensor development and environmental safety.
• Conduct microbiological and molecular research with GMOs.
• Study genetic stability, survival, and gene transfer of microorganisms and environmental impact.
• Prepare and perform plant experiments under controlled laboratory conditions.
• Document experiments, organize data, and prepare results for analysis.
• Contribute to environmental risk assessments of GMOs and literature reviews.
• Assist in preparing reports and publications within the international consortium.
• Comply with biosafety principles and lab procedures.
