Poznan University of Technology in Poland invites a Post-doc to join the BioRef Research Group (Institute of Environmental Engineering and Building Installations) to carry out in-depth microbiome analyses and open culture fermentation for bio-based processing of organic waste within the circular economy framework.

The project aims to isolate key microorganisms, perform omics preparation, and conduct bioinformatic analyses, with results disseminated at international conferences.

Qualifications

• PhD in Biotechnology / Biology / Chemistry / Microbiology / Chemical engineering.

Responsibilities

• Main tasks: research conceptualisation, design and conduct of isolation of microorganisms from open cultures.
• Performing analytical and characterisation analyses, preparation of samples for omics.
• Bioinformatic analysis of sequencing data, integrated data analysis (multivariate and network analyses).
• Preparation of scientific publications and dissemination of results at international conferences.
