Job summary

Mistral is seeking a talented platform engineer to join our Research Platform team. You will help build a cloud-agnostic platform improving stability, scalability, and velocity across the research department, enabling researchers to leverage high-performance clusters.

Location options include Paris, Warsaw, and London (hybrid) or remote EU/UK with a monthly hub visit. You’ll collaborate with R&D to create and optimize tools, pipelines, and development environments for researchers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in DX/DevOps or SRE roles.
• Proficiency in Python and Go programming languages.
• Exposure to site reliability engineering concepts and on-call practices.
• Experience with infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, orchestration, monitoring and logging.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement complex systems to scale research CI with reliability and speed.
• Create and maintain development environments for researchers to focus on core tasks.
• Design, implement and optimize data pipelines and large datasets workflows.
• Optimize builds including containers, libraries, and Python environments.
• Build strong relationships with researchers and enable them to achieve more with your tools.
• Produce documentation and content to help users maximize platform usage.
• Contribute to platformization of research and continuously improve researchers' day-to-day experience.
