A person applying for this position must meet the requirements set out in Art. 113 of the Act of July 20, 2018 Law on higher education and science, in the Statute of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW Department VIII).

The candidate should hold a PhD in health sciences, pharmaceutical sciences, chemical sciences or biological sciences and be prepared to teach in Polish and English. In-depth knowledge of human health issues is required, with a particular focus on conducting biochemical analyses and interpreting their results to diagnose nutritional status. Knowledge of basic food analysis methods is welcome.

  • Documented scientific achievements consistent with the profile of the unit in the form of publications in renowned scientific journals indexed in the JCR database in the last 5 years.
  • Documented work experience in an analytical laboratory or scientific unit.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in teaching various aspects of human nutrition (additional advantage for teaching nutrition assessment and food analysis).
  • Ability to perform biochemical analyses using spectrophotometric (including RANDOX and ELISA analysers) and chromatographic (HPLC) methods.
  • Documented experience in presenting research results at scientific conferences, including international ones.
  • Good command of Polish and English, both spoken and written, enabling teaching.
  • Ability to use a computer in the field of MS Office programmes and statistical programmes (e.g. STATISTICA, STATA).
