Job summary

Hitachi Energy Poland is seeking a Supply Chain Engineering Specialist to bridge engineering, supply chain, and new product development. You will ensure prototype materials availability and drive supplier partnerships while aligning SCM objectives with engineering teams.

The role requires 5+ years in engineering or supply chain, strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, SAP, and Lean Six Sigma; English fluency and willingness to travel to supplier locations are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in engineering, supply chain, procurement, manufacturing, or new product development environments.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (casting, machining, forging, welding, surface treatment).
• Experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP) and familiarity with PPAP and Lean Six Sigma.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Supply Chain representative within new product development projects.
• Drive supplier selection, qualification, and development activities for prototype and production components.
• Manage sourcing and procurement of prototype materials, ensuring timely delivery and cost efficiency.
• Coordinate logistics, inventory, and forecasting to support prototype and development programs.
• Lead SCM-related project activities, including material planning and PPAP coordination.
