Stem, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Staff Software Engineer to serve as a technical leader and architect across our energy software platforms. You will design and implement scalable, high-performance systems that manage large volumes of energy data and deliver intuitive user experiences.

Based in Poland or Romania, this remote B2B contract role collaborates with a globally distributed team, CET/CEST hours, and occasional trips to the Berlin office may be required.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science or related field.
• 8+ years in full stack development delivering complex applications.

Responsabilités

• Data Pipeline Architecture – oversee current and future data processing design and architecture; experience with distributed event streaming is preferred.
• Act as technical liaison between engineering, product, and business stakeholders to ensure architectural decisions support objectives.
• Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end full stack features across web applications, from UI to backend services and DB integrations.
• Ensure security best practices in development and deployment of production systems/services.
• Participate in code reviews, mentor junior developers, and provide constructive feedback.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and propose tools to improve development efficiency and quality.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and monitoring solutions.
