Job summary

Mountain BOCES is seeking a Field Supervisor (Special Education) for an alternative licensure program. This remote, part-time role oversees professional learning and serves as a liaison between alternative teachers, principals, and Mountain BOCES staff.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Special Education (or related field), is licensed to teach Special Education in Colorado, and has at least 3 years of classroom experience plus 3 years coaching adults.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Special Education or related field
• Licensure: CDE Special Education Teacher License
• Experience: 3 years teaching in special education; 3 years coaching/mentoring adults

Responsibilities

• Stay current with local, state, and federal laws and standards governing education.
• Meet with each alternative teacher's/principal's team twice annually.
• Observe each alternative teacher/principal twice annually.
• Maintain all appropriate paperwork and forms
