Job summary

SME Careers is seeking a Senior Video Editing Quality Assurance Specialist (remote, hourly contractor). You will review AI-generated and human-edited video content to ensure professional post-production quality, technical accuracy, and visual consistency according to project guidelines.

You will provide precise written feedback, assess frame-rate, color, audio synchronization, and storytelling, and help establish quality standards across editing and AI training projects for a fast-growing data

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional video editing experience.
• Portfolio or reel must be accessible to evaluation.
• Experience as Lead Editor, Senior Video Editor, or QC role preferred.
• Strong knowledge of video technical standards (frame rates, codecs, color, delivery).
• Experience with AI-generated video evaluation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate video editing quality for AI-generated and human-edited content.
• Identify frame-rate, color, synchronization, and export defects.
• Evaluate AI-generated video outputs for artifacts and continuity issues.
• Create expert-level editing scenarios and structured feedback.
• Ensure adherence to briefs, style guides, and technical specifications.
• Provide clear, professional feedback and recommendations.
• Support quality calibration across editors and QC workflows.
• Maintain high standards of storytelling and visual delivery.
