Job summary

Social Discovery Group is seeking a Senior System Administrator to manage the Microsoft infrastructure, AD, DNS, DHCP, PKI, and GPO, along with VDI and RDS services. You will work across NOC, InfoSec, DevOps, and L2 supports teams in a remote global setup.

You will participate in migrations, server upgrades, and cloud/onsite platform replacements, while documenting changes and leading implementation pilots.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years administering Microsoft and VDI infrastructure.
• Hands-on migration experience for Active Directory domains/forests with minimal downtime.
• Experience with VDI or terminal access platforms in production.
• Extensive AD DS knowledge incl. domains, forests, trusts, replication, GPO, Kerberos/NTLM.
• PKI lifecycle management (AD CS).
• VDI deployment and troubleshooting (Citrix or alternatives).
• Windows RDS farm operations and MFA integration.
• Windows Server upgrades and patching; backup/restore (Veeam).
• Linux system administration (Ubuntu/AlmaLinux/CentOS/RHEL).
• NGINX/HAProxy load balancing and TLS termination.
• Virtualization (Hyper-V, VMware ESXi).
• GWS/GCP administration and IAM basics.
• Scripting: PowerShell; Bash/Python; IaC knowledge (Terraform/Ansible).
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving with legacy systems awareness.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day administration of Microsoft infrastructure (AD, DNS, DHCP, PKI, GPO).
• Manage access platforms and services: Jira/Confluence, 1C/ERP, SQL, monitoring, backup, Google Workspace, Slack.
• Support VDI and terminal server farms; patching and documentation.
• Resolve incidents within SLAs and contribute to infrastructure projects.
• Migrate AD domain/forest, replace Citrix VDI, upgrade stacks and legacy systems.
• Prepare implementation steps, build test environments, run pilots.
• Maintain infrastructure docs and inventory (NetBox, Confluence).
• Participate in on-call rotation to keep systems running smoothly.
