Job summary

Sigma Software is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join a healthcare-focused project. This remote role offers collaboration across international teams and the chance to build large-scale cloud data infrastructure for critical medical data.

You will design and maintain data pipelines, implement microservices, and apply data lake concepts while using Python, PySpark, Azure, Snowflake and Databricks. Strong SQL and streaming tech experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Experience building cloud-based data infrastructure for large-scale datasets.
• Proficiency in Python and PySpark for distributed data processing.
• Strong knowledge of Azure, Snowflake and Databricks.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code (Terraform).
• Advanced SQL and experience with big data databases (Snowflake, Redshift, etc.).
• Experience with streaming technologies such as Kafka or Spark Structured Streaming.
• Upper-Intermediate level of English.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Owner and leads to design efficient data pipelines and schemas.
• Build and maintain cloud data infrastructure and self-service tooling.
• Develop microservices and data lake architectures for healthcare applications.
• Work with large datasets to optimize performance and enable data integration.
• Implement ETL processes and manage data governance and quality.
