Tequipy is seeking an experienced backend engineer to own the web application layer. This high-impact role will shape how our product is built, performs, and scales as we grow.

You will collaborate with design and other backend engineers to turn real-world IT workflows into scalable, well-designed systems, with AI tooling embedded in the workflow.

Join a small, senior team and help define the product architecture, accelerate delivery, and ensure reliability across a globally distributed platform.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in a similar backend role.
• Preferably experience in small companies.
• Extensive experience with Java or Kotlin.
• Strong practical experience with Claude Code or similar AI tooling.
• Strong testing culture; engineers own their tests.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain features for the backend platform.
• Drive evolution of the backend platform and core systems.
• Collaborate with designers and other backend engineers to turn IT workflows into scalable systems.
• Build a globally distributed system for asset management, delivery, and HRIS integrations.
• Design backend architecture emphasizing reliability and long-term scalability.
• Deliver backend capabilities end-to-end from concept to production.
