Job summary

CD PROJEKT RED is seeking an Expert Gameplay Programmer - AI to join Cyberpunk 2. You will help the team create believable worlds by architecting low-level spawning and AI systems, while mentoring teammates.

You will collaborate with designers, build major systems, optimize performance, and develop debug/tools for systemic gameplay. This role supports hybrid/in-office or remote work with an international team.

Qualifications

• At least 7+ years of professional experience as a programmer in games.
• Strong proficiency in C++ and knowledge of Unreal Engine.
• Experience with procedural content generation and systemic gameplay.
• Experience with current-gen console hardware.
• Understanding of geometric algorithms and data structures.
• Experience writing multi-threaded systems and profiling/optimizing code.
• Excellent communication and ability to explain complex concepts.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build major systems for spawning, AI, and systemic gameplay.
• Collaborate with designers and developers to meet open-world needs.
• Mentor team members, review code, and propose technical improvements.
• Develop debug and designer tools for non-deterministic gameplay.
• Write high-quality, optimized code aligned with project goals.
