Scalac is seeking a Senior Scala Engineer to help build a high-performance distributed platform focused on scalability, ultra-low latency, and in-memory state management.

This role invites you to design custom horizontal scaling, multi-datacenter replication, and benchmarks, delivering infrastructure where every millisecond matters. Fully remote within the EU, you will optimize distributed communication and performance.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience with Scala.
• Excellent knowledge of Akka Actors.
• Good understanding of Akka Cluster and Cluster Sharding.
• Experience writing performance and benchmark tests.
• Strong understanding of concurrency and asynchronous programming.
• Ability to design highly optimized, low-latency solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
