Job summary

Coherent Solutions is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to join our performance testing initiative for a middleware service layer powering a connected device platform. You will work within a team to execute, script, and maintain tests using JMeter, focusing on backend services, REST APIs, and microservices.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of QA experience, manual or automated.
• Understanding of performance testing concepts and metrics.
• Proficiency with JMeter and test plan scripting.
• Experience with REST APIs and HTTP basics; JSON payloads.
• English level B2 or higher.

Responsibilities

• Execute performance, load, stress, and soak tests for backend services with JMeter.
• Develop and maintain JMeter test scripts under guidance.
• Contribute to the testing framework with new scenarios and reusable components.
• Analyze results, prepare reports, identify bottlenecks with DevOps and developers.
• Use Grafana and Datadog to review dashboards and logs for root cause analysis.
• Document test plans, scenarios, results, and findings clearly.
• Collaborate with Developers, DevOps, and QA to ensure performance criteria met before release.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and daily team communication.
• Continuously improve skills in performance engineering and cloud-based performance.
