Job summary

Gcore, a global provider of infrastructure for AI, cloud, network and security, seeks a Software Python Engineer (GPU Cloud). You’ll design and deliver Python services for GPU virtual machines and bare-metal servers, building robust APIs and scalable backend systems.

You’ll work with OpenStack and Kubernetes, improve capacity tracking, automate validation and deployment, and own projects from design to production. The role offers remote, hybrid, or office options and a benefits package.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of production Python development.
• Experience building APIs/backend/services.
• Hands-on with OpenStack or a cloud control plane.
• Strong Linux, networking, and compute virtualization knowledge.
• Kubernetes and container workloads experience.
• Proven ability to own production services.
• Excellent communication and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Build Python services and APIs for GPU VMs and bare-metal servers.
• Develop provisioning, placement, maintenance, quarantine, and recovery workflows.
• Improve capacity tracking and availability for customers.
• Integrate GPU servers with OpenStack and Gcore Kubernetes.
• Automate host validation, image prep, driver install, and readiness checks.
• Enhance testing, observability, deployment safety, and tooling.
• Troubleshoot production issues across control plane, hypervisors, networking, storage, and hardware.
• Collaborate with compute, Kubernetes, networking, SRE, hardware, and product teams.
• Own projects from design to rollout and production operation.
