Job summary
RaftLabs seeks a product/BA professional to lead client-facing discovery and specification work for software services and consulting projects. You will run structured discovery with non-technical clients, craft BRDs and user stories, and shape scope to align with business goals.
You will defend timelines, manage risks, and translate client needs into actionable engineering specs. This remote role favors async-first collaboration and daily use of AI tools like Claude or ChatGPT to accelerate
Qualifications
- 3–5 years in a product or BA role within a software services or consulting company
- Has produced real discovery outputs: BRDs, user stories, feature specs
- Client-facing by default and able to push back on scope
- Written English that's client-grade; RaftLabs communications
- Async-first discipline and capability to move work forward without constant meetings
- AI tools are in daily workflow for drafting specs and discovery notes
Responsibilities
- Lead structured discovery sessions with non-technical clients
- Produce BRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Define scope, defend it, and prevent creep
- Prioritize features and communicate trade-offs
- Bridge client intent and engineering reality
- Own delivery timelines, risks, and blockers
- Support sprint planning and change requests
- Assist pre-sales scoping and effort estimation
