Software Mind invites engineers to join a dedicated OpenStack team building and operating private cloud platforms for enterprise clients in Western Europe. You’ll work on multi-region deployments, with mentoring from senior engineers and a clear path to senior level.

The role emphasizes hands-on administration, automation with Ansible and CI pipelines, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams. Flexible remote work and international projects are offered.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years administering Linux in production, including OpenStack.
• Core OpenStack services (Nova, Neutron, Keystone, Glance, Cinder, Placement, Horizon) management.
• Diagnose failed instance, volume and network operations via CLI and logs.
• Understand API, scheduler, agents, message queue and state DB internals.
• Experience with OpenStack deployment frameworks (Kolla-Ansible preferred) and containerized services.
• KVM/libvirt expertise for compute node troubleshooting; practical Ansible and Git skills.
• Networking fundamentals including VLANs, routing, NAT, and overlay networks; English at B2.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure OpenStack components with Kolla-Ansible per design.
• Prepare infrastructure nodes: OS, KVM virtualization, container runtime, networks and storage.
• Configure networking and storage: OVN, VLAN provider networks, Cinder and boot-from-volume.
• Deploy monitoring and logging: Prometheus, Alertmanager, Grafana, Fluentd, OpenSearch.
• Handle second line incidents and service requests within SLAs.
• Execute planned changes: patching, node replacement, VM evacuation and upgrades.
• Maintain configuration repositories via merge requests and promote changes across environments.
• Automate repeatable work with Ansible and CI pipelines; participate in on-call rotation.
