Sierra Select Distributors, Inc. is seeking a skilled Remote Network Engineer to design, implement, monitor, and maintain our network infrastructure. You will ensure secure, reliable connectivity for internal systems, remote users, locations, and devices.

Ideal candidates have strong fundamentals, troubleshooting skills, and experience with routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and network monitoring tools. A 3+ year background and a degree in IT or related field are preferred; Cisco/CCNA/CompTIA

Formación

• Requires 3+ years in network engineering or related IT role.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, routing, and switching.
• Experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless networks.
• Familiar with network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and remotely.

Responsabilidades

• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure.
• Monitor performance, availability, security, and connectivity.
• Diagnose and resolve outages and performance issues.
• Support VPNs, remote access, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and related services.
• Assist with upgrades, migrations, and config changes.
• Maintain network diagrams, configurations, and inventories.
• Monitor security and identify vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with IT and other departments to resolve issues.
• Support remote employees with connectivity issues.
• Coordinate with ISPs, vendors, and partners as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance, testing, and updates.
• Assist with disaster recovery and business continuity initiatives.
• Evaluate network performance and propose improvements.
• Maintain compliance with IT policies and security standards.
• Document incidents, resolutions, and changes.
• Participate in IT projects and initiatives.
