Job summary

Luxoft Poland is seeking a senior hardware validation engineer to lead the design and operation of a security-lab focused on silicon-level threat detection. You will architect automation, manage datasets, and oversee a scalable telemetry pipeline across AMD Zen generations.

The role requires mentoring junior engineers and coordinating with ML and security partners. The ideal candidate has 7+ years in hardware validation, deep knowledge of x86-64 microarchitecture, and strong programming skills

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hardware validation, silicon bring-up or security lab experience.
• Deep understanding of x86-64 CPU microarchitecture and hardware performance monitoring.
• Proven ability to lead projects and mentor junior engineers; strong Python and/or C/C++.
• Experience with malware behavior analysis, sandbox environments or security telemetry data.
• Track record of owning validation quality metrics end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of the hardware threat detection validation lab, including automation infrastructure and dataset management.
• Define and own the lab engineering roadmap aligned to product milestones.
• Architect scalable PMC telemetry collection pipelines across variants and platforms.
• Drive malware dataset expansion across ransomware, cryptomining and other threats.
• Mentor lab engineers and review test plans, automation code and reports.
• Define feature engineering from PMC telemetry with the ML team and validate data quality.
• Establish lab qualification criteria for kernel-mode PMU driver and production readiness.
• Lead technical onboarding with security-software partners in the lab.
