Job summary

Inetum Polska, part of the Inetum Group, is hiring a JVM Software Engineer in a hybrid setup with offices in Warsaw, Poznań and Lublin. You will work on modernizing database systems (Sybase → PostgreSQL) and building Java-based microservices in a business‑critical environment.

The role involves collaborating on architecture, migrating logic from database procedures to services, and leveraging AI where relevant. Polish and English at B2 level are required.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Java 17/21 with strong Spring ecosystem experience.
• Experience building microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL; Sybase is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support modernization and migration of database systems (Sybase → PostgreSQL).
• Analyze applications, databases and stored procedures to plan architecture changes.
• Design and develop solutions using Java and microservices.
• Migrate business logic from database layer to modern service layer.
• Contribute to system architecture and technical decision making.
• Refactor monolithic solutions to microservices architecture.
• Collaborate with teams on long‑term modernization and migration initiatives.
• Explore opportunities to leverage AI in software development.
