Job summary

Wormhole Labs is hiring a Junior Trader to join our trading team, working with senior traders across strategies on centralized and decentralized venues. You’ll take on responsibilities quickly and learn by doing, even without prior DeFi experience.

You’ll execute trades, monitor positions and P&L, and build tooling for the desk while developing depth in market structure and protocol mechanics across time zones in a remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• 0–3 years of experience in quant research, engineering, data or markets-adjacent roles.
• Strong quantitative foundation in probability and statistics.
• Python preferred for financial modeling and data analysis.
• Interest in crypto and DeFi; professional crypto experience isn’t required.
• Good communication and ability to work remotely across time zones.

Responsibilities

• Execute and manage trades across centralized (CEX) and decentralized (DEX) venues.
• Monitor positions, P&L, and risk; identify issues early.
• Build tooling for the desk, including position trackers and dashboards.
• Analyze market data to explain slippage and profitability.
• Develop depth in market structure and protocol mechanics.
