Job summary

Auxo Talent seeks an Infrastructure Platform Engineer to manage bare-metal Linux infrastructure, focusing on Ubuntu servers, networking, security, and monitoring across dedicated hosting and colocation data centers.

You will handle routing, DNS, firewalls, VPNs, and hardware diagnostics, while automating tasks with Ansible and scripting. A security-minded approach is essential for controlled changes and compliance.

Qualifications

• Hands-on production experience with Ubuntu Linux administration.
• Experience with dedicated hosting providers or colocation data centres.
• Strong routing, DNS, firewall and VPN knowledge, including debugging.
• Experience with physical servers and diagnosing hardware failures.
• Ansible and scripting skills.
• Monitoring and observability experience.
• A security-minded approach to infrastructure change management.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Ubuntu Linux servers in production.
• Operate infrastructure across dedicated hosting providers and colocation data centres.
• Design, debug and maintain routing, DNS, firewalls and VPN connectivity.
• Diagnose and resolve physical server and hardware failures.
• Deliver secure infrastructure changes: patching, access control and secrets handling.
• Automate with scripting and configuration management (Ansible).
• Build and run monitoring and observability: metrics, dashboards, alerts and logs.
• Translate compliance requirements into practical infrastructure changes.
