Job summary

Worldwide Clinical Trials is seeking an Executive Director, Project Management to lead global clinical research programs and oversee PM activities across therapeutic areas. The role partners with senior leadership to shape strategy, manage budgets, and strengthen sponsor relationships.

You will work with global teams across time zones, drive program delivery, and ensure quality and operational excellence while guiding career development for PM professionals.

Qualifications

• University or college degree in life science or allied health; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Minimum of 12 years of Global clinical pharmaceutical industry experience.
• Proven success leading and line managing staff in a global, matrixed environment.
• Experience managing dementia programs and complex clinical research projects.
• Strong financial management and analytical skills with budget oversight.

Responsibilities

• Lead and provide strategic direction to the Project Management team within a therapeutic area.
• Oversee delivery, financial performance, and operational execution of global clinical research projects.
• Drive project planning, performance monitoring, and adherence to timelines and budgets.
• Review strategy, content, and costing of new business proposals; support growth initiatives.
• Partner with senior leadership on business development and client engagement.
• Build and maintain sponsor relationships; serve as a key contact for alliances.
• Lead project and sponsor reviews; identify and resolve issues to maintain client satisfaction.
• Mentor, recruit, develop, and evaluate PM staff; ensure resource utilization targets.
• Represent Worldwide in capability presentations and client-facing activities.
