Job summary

payabl. is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to build and scale our infrastructure, collaborating across product teams. You will support the Data engineering group while enabling faster, more reliable releases across our global payments platform.

You will work on Kubernetes clusters, CI/CD pipelines, and automation using Terraform, Ansible, and cloud-native services, with a strong emphasis on security and compliance. The role is remote-friendly and cross-regional.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Kubernetes and cloud platforms.
• Provision infrastructure with Ansible, Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Strong knowledge of AWS Data Lake services: Glue, Athena.
• Linux experience with Bash/Python/Perl scripting.
• Automation of CI/CD pipelines, especially Jenkins.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Kubernetes clusters and deploy apps via code-first approaches.
• Collaborate with teams to identify pain points and platform improvements.
• Develop tools and frameworks to enhance data platforms.
• Manage CI/CD and design pipelines with Jenkins, GitHub Actions or GitLab.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.
• Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure with Prometheus and Grafana.
• Implement security best practices and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Provide constructive code reviews and mentorship to teammates.
