Job summary

Zyte, a globally distributed data extraction company, is seeking a Developer Advocate to grow its presence among developers and open-source communities. You’ll speak at conferences, run workshops, and create tutorials that connect Zyte API and Scrapy to real‑world use cases.

You’ll collaborate with product, technical, and marketing teams to turn community feedback into tool improvements, while mentoring developers and fostering adoption across international communities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in developer advocacy, community engagement, or similar technical roles.
• Strong understanding of web technologies, APIs, web scraping and data extraction.
• Proficient in Python with demonstrated coding ability.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with public speaking experience.
• Experience working with developer communities, social media, and blogging.

Responsibilities

• Represent Zyte at conferences, meetups, and developer events.
• Identify speaking, sponsorship, and community opportunities aligned with Zyte goals.
• Develop talks, workshops, demos, webinars, and contributions to Extract Summit.
• Build relationships with developers, partners, and external advocates.
• Create tutorials, videos, and code samples integrating Zyte tools.
• Produce technical articles for Zyte's blog and external publications.
• Contribute to developer documentation improvements.
