Job summary

PandaDoc is hiring its first Design Engineer to sit at the intersection of design and engineering in the Embedded Agreements track. You will own the design of two strategic areas—our API and integrations—and shape surfaces that connect PandaDoc to the broader ecosystem of tools customers use.

As the sole Design Engineer on the Embedded Agreements team, you’ll bridge product strategy with developer experience, ship production-ready React components, and guide how AI surfaces like MCP, Claude, and

Qualifications

• Strong experience across both design and front-end engineering with shipped interfaces or widely-used components.

Responsibilities

• Own the design of API and integrations end to end — from developer-facing surfaces to in-product flows.
• Shape strategy with product and research for surfaces as market/audience shifts.
• Design and prototype AI-native patterns for API surfaces including ChatGPT app, Claude connector, MCP integration.
• Define how core CRM integrations (Salesforce, HubSpot) adapt for an agentic world and balance internal vs. customer orchestrated connections.
• Prototype ideas in code from design to production-grade React components within days, handling layout, accessibility, and performance.
• Trailblaze the Design Engineer role: end-to-end ownership from problem framing to launch as the first hire.
• Collaborate with designers, share patterns, and help elevate the team's technical skills.
