Job summary

Software Mind is seeking a Data Engineer to join an international gaming-focused project. You will build and optimize data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform, implement SQL-based transformations with dbt on BigQuery, and work with Kafka and NiFi for data ingestion.

You’ll collaborate with the client’s Senior Product Owner and a Software Mind team on architecture and production workflows. You will be part of a cross-functional engineering group, contributing to scalable data solutions while

Qualifications

Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT workflows and building data pipelines.
Strong SQL and experience with dbt or another SQL-based transformation tool.
Experience with BigQuery or a similar cloud data warehouse.
Experience with Kafka and ingestion tools such as Apache NiFi.
Knowledge of GCP or another cloud platform.
Practical understanding of tool setup, pipeline operations and running production data workflows.
Comfortable working with GitLab and Jira, and open to using AI tools in development.
English language skills for smooth team communication.

Responsibilities

Build, maintain and improve data pipelines and ingestion processes on GCP.
Develop data transformations in SQL and dbt on BigQuery, and work with Kafka and NiFi.
Support pipeline operations and tooling setup across the development lifecycle.
Design scalable, reliable data solutions with teammates and stakeholders.
Participate in architecture discussions and propose improvements.
Collaborate daily with client stakeholders and Software Mind team using GitLab and Jira.
