Job summary

Sweco is seeking a proactive Project Manager for Data Centers to lead high-performance, sustainable mission-critical facilities from development to handover. You will coordinate electrical, mechanical, civil and digital engineering teams, ensure safety and quality, and deliver projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• A technical university degree (e.g. electrical, mechanical, civil or building services engineering).
• 10+ years of experience managing multidisciplinary design, engineering and construction projects, within data centers or other mission-critical environments.
• Proven experience leading medium to large-scale projects.
• Strong capabilities in project planning, budgeting, cost control, contract management and change management.
• Experience with risk management and delivering projects in accordance with health, safety and sustainability standards.
• Affinity with digital and automated design and engineering processes (e.g. BIM, CDE environments).
• Knowledge of both waterfall and agile project management methodologies; certifications such as IPMA or PRINCE are a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to operate effectively in culturally diverse environments and mentor other team members.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of complex data center projects from development through handover.
• Establish clear project structures, align objectives with client expectations, ensure safety, on time, on budget, high quality.
• Act as client’s single point of contact; build trusted advisor relationships at senior levels.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction across disciplines.
• Identify risks and opportunities; maintain contracts, permits, progress reports, and change records.
• Support business development through strong business cases and client relationship growth.
