Job summary

Software Mind is seeking an experienced Data Architect/Engineer to design target-state data architectures across cloud/hybrid/on-prem environments. You will work within the Data & Analytics Global Capability, shaping solutions for clients across industries using Snowflake, Databricks and cloud services.

You will lead technical discussions, craft scalable data models, and ensure governance, security and performance. Remote-friendly with global projects and continuous learning opportunities.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in data engineering or data architecture, incl. 3+ years in an architect role.
• Hands-on design and delivery on Snowflake and Databricks (Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Spark).
• Experience with at least one major cloud (Azure, AWS or GCP) and its data services.
• Strong SQL and Python skills.
• Experience with orchestration/transformation tools (Airflow, dbt, Azure Data Factory).
• Knowledge of data security, governance and regulatory requirements.
• Client-facing experience and ability to explain technical trade-offs to business stakeholders.
• Very good English, spoken and written (C1).

Responsibilities

• Assess client data landscape and design target-state architectures (cloud/hybrid/on-prem).
• Select technologies based on client needs with Snowflake and Databricks as core platforms.
• Design lakehouse/warehouse/data lake architectures with ingestion and pipelines.
• Model data (conceptual/logical/physical) using Kimball/Data Vault/3NF and semantic layers.
• Define security, IAM, encryption, masking, HA/DR, performance and cost optimization.
• Build data governance foundations: catalog, metadata, lineage, data quality and contracts.
• Ensure platforms are ready for advanced analytics, ML, GenAI and real-time use cases.
• Develop reference architectures and accelerators for Data & AI offerings.
• Act as technical authority for delivery teams and perform design reviews.
• Partner with sales as presales: discovery, solution design, estimations and proposals.
