Job summary

Speechify is hiring a Software Engineer - AI Data to join its distributed AI team and build data pipelines powering model training and next-generation AI products. You will work on petabyte-scale datasets, explore new data sources, and contribute to scalable, cost-efficient data processing.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in software engineering, strong backend skills in Python and Bash, and experience with data pipelines. Remote work is supported in a fully distributed company.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of software engineering with strong backend fundamentals.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash in Linux environments.
• Experience with production systems, data pipelines or large-scale data processing.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in ambiguous environments.

Responsibilities

• Discover new data sources and build pipelines for training datasets.
• Build and optimize large-scale data-processing systems for quality, throughput and cost.
• Collaborate with AI Scientists to improve training datasets and models.
• Own projects from discovery through implementation and continuous improvement.
