The Regional Director will identify regional vendor partners, strategic suppliers, growth suppliers, analyze market data, identify industry trends, and make best practice recommendations that will best set Supplier Chain in the region for success.
The role is accountable for regional deliverables, alignment with the Global Supply Chain Strategy, sharing of best practices, and maintaining effective communication with counterparts in each region and the Supplier Chain team in its entirety.
What you’ll be doing:
- Conduct thorough assessments of regional partner vendor capabilities, offerings, and services to gain comprehensive market insights.
- Identify potential opportunities during sales pursuits to recommend Pontoon’s preferred vendor partners.
- Maintain a proactive understanding of supplier business practices, thereby adding transparency and strategic value to regional supply chain initiatives.
- Monitor and report on Pontoon’s Strategic Supplier performance at both regional and global levels.
- Lead Program RFI/RFP projects, analysis and present actionable recommendations.
- Stay current with industry best practices, emerging trends, regulatory requirements, and supplier management methodologies to drive continuous improvements in the regional supplier chain strategy.
- Leverage the Pontoon Supplier Intelligence Platform to cultivate Supplier relationships and identify best in class supplier strategies.
- Actively participate in the organization of annual and quarterly regional Supplier events, and relevant forums.
- Identify and evaluate prospective suppliers who align with program goals, with the potential to become future strategic suppliers regionally or globally.
- Contribute to executive summaries, client presentations, QBRs, innovation labs, bids, and RFX submissions presented to senior leadership and client stakeholders, focusing on supplier chain strategies.
- Demonstrate a collaborative and supportive attitude within the team environment, engaging constructively with all levels.
- Cultivate and maintain ethical, equitable relationships with global and regional suppliers to achieve and surpass the business objectives of Pontoon and its clients.
About you:
- At least four (4) years of professional experience, including two (3) years in global MSP roles with documented progressive responsibilities. Experience in MSP, services procurement, or contingent workforce is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience required.
- Demonstrates the ability to thrive within a collaborative, global team environment, contributing to the development and implementation of effective supplier strategies.
- Demonstrates the ability to cultivate supplier relationships that develop into partnerships whereby Pontoon is their number one MSP of choice in the market.
- Effectively influences team members by articulating clear supplier strategies that drive successful outcomes for clients and Pontoon.
- Possesses strong commercial acumen and a deep understanding of both our business and client operations, supported by sound judgment.
- Demonstrates excellent analytical and spend management skills, consistently delivering accurate, professional, and error-free analyses within required timeframes.
