Job summary

Techland Sp. z o. o. is seeking a Quest Designer to craft engaging quests for our open-world action RPGs. You will collaborate with the Narration team and other disciplines to bring stories to life, owning the quest lifecycle from concept to iteration.

The role requires 3+ years in gaming, a year in quest design or similar, and strong storytelling with English fluency. You will work in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment with feedback-driven workflows.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in the gaming industry.
• At least 1 year as a Quest Designer or similar.
• Experience creating narration for games and familiarity with game editors.
• Understand both narrative and gameplay layers in open-world RPGs.
• Strong storytelling ability and a diverse idea pipeline.
• Proactive, takes ownership of responsibilities, and receptive to feedback.
• Team player with interdisciplinary collaboration and brainstorming.
• Curiosity about the video game industry and trends.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain engaging quests for players in our proprietary C-Engine.
• Collaborate closely with the Narration team and other disciplines to iterate on ideas.
• Act as quest owner in a cross-functional strike team to bring stories to life.
• Collaborate with Quest Producer and Quest Director to preserve vision and monitor progress.
• Address director’s feedback within an iterative pipeline.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and innovative quest, narration, and gameplay solutions.
• Report work progress and time in Jira.
