Job summary

Total Resourcing Ltd. is seeking a Quality Surveillance Specialist to oversee quality performance across major construction activities within a nuclear new-build environment, delivering audits, inspections, and surveillance to meet stringent standards.

You will partner with construction, engineering, and project teams to ensure compliance with codes, regulatory requirements, and quality plans, producing clear surveillance reports.

Qualifications

• Degree qualification in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Quality Surveillance, QA or QC role within a nuclear new-build environment.
• Experience carrying out quality surveillance, audits, and inspections on large-scale engineering projects.
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems, codes, standards, and regulatory requirements in the nuclear industry.
• Experience reviewing quality documentation, inspection records, test reports, and technical documentation.
• Ability to identify non-conformances and support corrective and preventive actions.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical, reporting, and documentation skills.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions to drive continuous improvement.
• Work closely with construction, engineering, and project teams to promote a strong quality culture.
• Produce clear and accurate surveillance reports, maintaining comprehensive records of quality activities.
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with regulatory, client, and project quality requirements.

As a Quality Surveillance Specialist, you will play a key role in maintaining quality performance across critical project activities. Through inspections, surveillance, and audits, you will help ensure construction and manufacturing activities meet the highest quality standards, supporting the safe and compliant delivery of this landmark programme.

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Quality Surveillance, Quality Assurance, or Quality Control role within a nuclear new-build environment.


• Proven experience carrying out quality surveillance, audits, and inspections on large-scale engineering or infrastructure projects.


• Strong knowledge of quality management systems, applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements within the nuclear industry.


• Experience reviewing quality documentation, inspection records, test reports, and technical documentation.


• Ability to identify non-conformances and support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.


• Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical, reporting, and documentation skills.


• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.

Desirable

• Experience working with AP1000 technology or on AP1000 nuclear projects.


• Current residence within Europe is preferred.


• Auditor qualification (Internal or Lead Auditor) or other recognised quality certification.


• Knowledge of UK nuclear quality assurance requirements and industry best practice.
