Job summary

Emerson in Lodz is seeking a Quality Laboratory Engineer to ensure incoming materials quality through inspection, testing, and measurement. You will collaborate with Quality, Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain to uphold high standards.

You will perform measurements, investigate non-conformities, support supplier qualification, and help improve inspection methods and equipment while working with a dynamic manufacturing team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a technical field.
• 1+ year in incoming quality control or similar role.
• 1+ year using manual measurement and inspection equipment.
• Strong knowledge of inspection methods, control plans, sampling, and NCR handling.
• Good English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform measurements, testing, and inspections of incoming components for production use.
• Investigate non-conformities and prepare NCR documentation.
• Support supplier qualification and evaluate supplier samples.
• Develop and improve inspection methods and select measurement equipment.

Job description

As a Quality Laboratory Engineer in Lodz, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality of incoming materials and components through inspection, testing, and measurement activities. You will support supplier qualification processes, investigate component non-conformities, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Quality Laboratory. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with Quality, Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to maintain the highest product quality standards.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Perform measurements, testing, and quality inspections of incoming components and approve materials for production use.
• Investigate non-conformities, prepare NCR documentation, and support problem-solving activities related to component quality issues.
• Conduct measurements and evaluations of new components and supplier samples, supporting new supplier qualification processes.
• Develop and improve inspection methods, support measurement equipment selection, and contribute to laboratory optimization initiatives.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Warehouse, and Quality teams while providing training and technical support related to measurement and inspection activities.

For This Role, You Will Need:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or another Technical field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Incoming Quality Control or a similar quality-related role.
• Minimum 1 year of experience working with manual measurement and inspection equipment.
• Very good knowledge of incoming inspection methods and tools, including control plans, measurement techniques, sampling methods, and non-conformance management.
• Communicative level of English.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

• Experience working with machined components and injection-molded plastic parts
• Knowledge of quality tools and methodologies such as 8D, PDCA, and FMEA.
• Experience supporting supplier qualification or supplier quality activities.
• Familiarity with measurement laboratory operations and quality documentation processes.
• Continuous improvement mindset and strong analytical skills.
