Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a QA Engineering Lead to guide a small team and align testing with broader engineering goals. You will define a QA vision, integrate AI methods, automate test generation, and scale suites for React apps and REST APIs, ensuring reliability across critical workflows.

You will collaborate with DevOps, frontend and backend teams, and Product Owners to refine BDD acceptance criteria and maintain high quality standards across deliveries.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in test automation and quality engineering for SPA web experiences and REST APIs.
• Demonstrated lead or mentorship capabilities.
• Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Vision for leveraging AI tools in quality workflows.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern test frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright, Cypress, or Webdriver.io and CI/CD.

• Lead, empower, and mentor a small QA engineering team
• Align quality engineering initiatives with broader engineering goals
• Define and execute a QA vision integrating AI methodologies
• Automate test generation, dynamic data creation, and test-suite maintenance
• Identify and implement AI capabilities to eliminate manual testing bottlenecks
• Architect, build, and scale automated test suites for React web applications and REST APIs
• Ensure test stability and reliability and eliminate flakiness across critical enterprise workflows
• Integrate AI-enhanced regression suites into Git-based CI/CD pipelines as continuous quality gates
• Partner with DevOps and software engineering teams to maintain fast feedback loops and deployment velocity
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Dev Leads, and Scrum teams on BDD acceptance criteria
• Foster a supportive engineering environment through peer mentorship, code reviews, and quality standards
• Build automated test reporting for pass ratios and failing-test trends
• Manage defect tracking and root-cause analysis in Jira

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in test automation and quality engineering covering SPA web experiences and REST APIs
• Demonstrated lead or mentorship capabilities
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• Practical experience or a clear, actionable vision for leveraging AI tools in quality workflows
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript
• Hands-on experience with Playwright, Cypress, or Webdriver.io
• Demonstrated success integrating automated test suites into Git-based CI/CD pipelines
• Hands-on experience with Scrum workflows
• Experience writing acceptance criteria using BDD / Cucumber formats
• Strong dedication, high technical standards, and passion for building resilient software
• Clear, empathetic, and respectful communication in Polish and English
• Minimum B2 level in Polish and English
• Practical experience building or customizing internal AI scripts is a bonus
• Familiarity with microservices architectures, GCP/Kubernetes, BrowserStack, or Sauce Labs is a bonus
