About The Role
Our client, a global financial data and technology leader powering modern capital markets, is seeking a Test Automation Lead to transform a fragmented automation landscape into a unified, scalable quality ecosystem. You will combine hands‑on architecture with strategic leadership, modernizing legacy products while meeting rigorous security, compliance, and reliability standards.
Responsibilities
- Assess automation across legacy and modern Web and Mobile products, identifying technical debt, risks, coverage gaps, and quick wins
- Define a roadmap that balances tactical improvements with a long‑term quality strategy aligned with security, compliance, and reliability standards
- Redesign Java-based frameworks using Selenium and Playwright, introducing reusable libraries, consistent design patterns, coding standards, and maintainable architecture
- Build scalable automated suites across UI, API, integration, cross-browser, and mobile layers, supported by effective test data management and reporting
- Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines and release processes to improve feedback speed, traceability, release confidence, and production readiness
- Partner with Engineering, QA, DevOps, and product stakeholders to embed shift‑left practices, consolidate tooling, and increase adoption across teams
- Lead and mentor automation engineers through hands‑on guidance, code reviews, and upskilling, while evaluating AI‑assisted testing and cloud execution opportunities
- Present assessments, strategic recommendations, progress, and measurable business impact to senior stakeholders
Requirements
- 8+ years in test automation, including 3+ years as a Test Automation Lead or Architect, with experience modernizing legacy environments
- Advanced Selenium, Playwright, and Java expertise, including building frameworks with reusable libraries and design patterns
- Web and Mobile automation experience across UI, API, and integration layers, plus device execution using BrowserStack or similar
- Knowledge of test data management and reporting tools such as Allure, ExtentReports, or ReportPortal
- Strong Git skills and experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar
- Experience in regulated financial services, capital markets, or fintech, with knowledge of security, compliance, audit, and reliability
- Strong stakeholder communication, leadership, and mentoring skills, with the ability to link technical decisions to business outcomes
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience; ISTQB Advanced is an advantage
