Qualifications

• Three to five years of hands-on testing of web applications with root-cacuses focus.
• Practical test automation experience with Playwright or similar framework.
• Ability to read API contracts, query SQL for data verification, and inspect API traffic.
• Mobile testing experience across iOS and Android with device coverage awareness.
• Collaborates with Design and Product during specification work to improve quality.

Responsibilities

• Test web end-to-end, frontend behavior and backend responses beyond the UI.
• Test iOS and Android against device/OS matrix with platform conventions knowledge.
• Own automated coverage: extend Playwright suite and add tests for features.
• Investigate failures, fix flakiness, and honestly assess automation scope.
• Verify API and data layer: requests, responses, payloads, status codes.
• Query database to confirm actual outcomes, not just on-screen results.
• Prevent bugs by validating specs with Product/Design/Engineering before dev.
• Identify forgotten platforms, breaking API versions, and migration needs.
• Debug to root cause and provide actionable details to developers.
• Support triage of customer issues and maintain test plans and issues lists.
