Job summary

ETAP in Krakow is seeking a QA Test Engineer to join our R&D team. You will define and execute test plans, develop automated tests for electrical systems, verify equipment compliance, and participate in Agile sprints to improve quality and reliability.

You should have a scientific background, familiarity with electrical basics, and experience in test automation. We offer a collaborative environment, growth in AI-enabled testing, and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Experience in QA for electrical systems and components.
• Familiarity with test automation tools and scripting.
• Understanding of QA philosophies, test strategies, and quality principles.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and SDLC.
• Good English communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Define, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for electrical systems and components.
• Design and maintain automated test solutions to improve coverage and efficiency.
• Verify selection and compliance of electrical equipment per standards and specs.
• Perform and validate electrical calculations (power, current, voltage, thermal, protections).
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve issues.
• Apply QA methodologies throughout the development lifecycle and participate in sprints.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and tools.
• Explore and leverage AI-based tools to enhance testing and defect detection.

The job

In R&D team following Agile process , We are looking for a QA Test Engineer to join our quality team. You will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and performance of electrical systems through rigorous testing, automation, and quality practices.

Key responsibilities

• Define, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for electrical systems and components
• Design and maintain automated test solutions to improve test coverage and efficiency
• Verify the selection and compliance of electrical equipment according to standards and specifications
• Perform and validate electrical calculations (power, current, voltage, thermal, protections, etc.)
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve issues
• Apply QA methodologies and best practices throughout the development lifecycle
• Work in an Agile environment, actively participating in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
• Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and tools
• Explore and leverage AI-based tools to enhance testing, analysis, or defect detection when relevant

Essential requirements

• A scientific culture is important to succeed in this job
• Informatic knwoledge is necessary to automate test QA basics
• Electrical basics
• English good level

Desired skills and competencies

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related scientific field
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, components, and standards
• Experience with test automation (scripting, frameworks, or custom tools)
• Solid knowledge of electrical calculations and system validation
• Good understanding of QA philosophy, test strategies, and quality principles
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
• Curiosity and willingness to learn, especially regarding new technologies
• Basic knowledge or strong interest in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its applications in QA
• Nice to Have Experience system-level testing
• Knowledge of international electrical standards (IEC, IEEE, UL, etc.)
• Exposure to data analysis or AI-driven testing tools
