Job summary

BlackCube Labs in Wrocław is seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer for a 5-month contract to modernise large-scale order and trade management platforms. Design and maintain reusable automation frameworks for Spring Boot services, REST APIs and cloud-native architectures; build comprehensive test suites across UI, API and integration tests.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of hands-on experience designing and maintaining QA automation frameworks.
• Proven experience testing Spring Boot services, REST APIs, microservices and data flows.
• Experience embedding automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain reusable automation frameworks and test components for application rewrites and platform upgrades.
• Build comprehensive test suites covering functional, regression, integration, API, UI, smoke and end-to-end scenarios.
• Validate REST APIs, microservices, data flows, business rules and user journeys across modernised systems.
• Implement API automation using REST Assured, Postman/Newman or similar tools.
• Develop UI automation using Selenium, Playwright, Cypress or equivalent frameworks.
• Embed automated tests within CI/CD pipelines and establish quality gates to support reliable releases.
• Create test strategies, test plans, traceability matrices, test data and environment readiness documentation.
• Investigate defects, perform triage and root cause analysis in collaboration with development and business teams.
• Enhance automation coverage, execution speed and stability by reducing flaky tests and applying coding standards.
• Report quality risks, dependencies, blockers and release readiness status to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
