Job summary

State Street, via its Charles River Development (CRD) platform, is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to design and implement scalable automated test frameworks within a Scrum team. The role emphasizes expanding test coverage across frontend, backend, and system levels and supporting CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid, reliable software delivery.

The position requires 2+ years in software testing, proficiency in Java/C#/JavaScript/Python, and experience with Playwright, Selenium or Cypress, along

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of experience in software testing within a process-driven technology environment.
• Good programming skills in at least one modern object-oriented programming language such as Java, C#, JavaScript, or Python.
• Knowledge about frontend testing using industry-standard tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress or similar frameworks.
• Knowledge about backend testing including REST APIs, HTTP, and SOAP services.
• Good understanding of databases with practical SQL experience.
• Good written and verbal communication skills, with a strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
• Willingness to learn and develop in the testing area.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable automated test frameworks and regression suites.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality feature delivery.
• Expand automation coverage across functional, integration, and system testing.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery practices.
• Identify quality risks early and drive continuous improvement in testing processes.
• Contribute to shared automation libraries and testing infrastructure.
• Advocate for quality engineering best practices across the development lifecycle.
