Job summary

DCG is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to join our testing team. You will design, implement, and maintain automated tests for backend APIs in Java, and frontend end-to-end tests with Playwright and TypeScript.

You will perform functional and regression testing for new features and document defects clearly to ensure high quality releases. The role requires 4+ years in software testing with hands-on automation, strong Java API testing skills, and experience with Playwright, TypeScript, as well as

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional experience in software testing/QA with hands-on test automation.
• Strong experience with Java, especially for API testing.
• Hands-on Playwright and TypeScript for frontend end-to-end testing.
• Solid understanding of frontend testing principles and the test pyramid.
• Experience with JIRA and qTest or similar test management tools.
• Familiarity with Git or another version control system; CI/CD tools.
• Strong attention to detail and a quality-first mindset.
• Fluent English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated tests for backend APIs using Java.
• Create and maintain frontend end-to-end automated tests using Playwright and TypeScript.
• Perform functional and regression testing of new or modernized features.
• Identify, reproduce, analyze, and document defects clearly.
• Validate edge cases and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, and Product Owners.
• Improve QA processes and automation practices; maintain test docs.
• Manage testing activities using JIRA and qTest; work with Git, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Jenkins.
