Qualifications

• Master’s or doctoral PMHNP degree from an accredited program.
• Current PMHNP-BC certification through ANCC.
• Active, unrestricted Virginia NP license with prescriptive authority or eligible.
• Active DEA registration or willingness to obtain one.
• Psychiatric experience preferred; primary care/integrated behavioral health is a plus.
• Comfortable with telehealth and EHR systems.
• Strong communication skills and a patient-first approach.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses and treatment plans for adult patients.
• Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications, including monitoring and follow-up.
• Serve as the psychiatric consultant for our CoCM and behavioral health integration program.
• Manage conditions seen in primary care, including depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, PTSD and substance use concerns.
• Offer brief psychotherapy and supportive counseling as appropriate.
• Document encounters accurately and on time in our EHR.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and support staff to keep care coordinated.
• Follow up on labs, referrals and patient questions promptly.
• Follow all clinical protocols, HIPAA regulations and safety standards.

• Serve as the psychiatric consultant for our Collaborative Care (CoCM) and behavioral health integration program, including regular caseload reviews with our behavioral health care manager
• Manage common conditions seen in primary care, including depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, PTSD and substance use concerns
• Offer brief psychotherapy and supportive counseling as appropriate
• Document encounters accurately and on time in our EHR
