Job summary

UL Solutions, a global leader in safety science, seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead small to medium initiatives from planning through delivery. You will guide cross-functional teams, manage risks, and report to sponsors while aligning deliverables with strategic outcomes.

Strong communication and governance adherence are essential. Experience in project lifecycles (Agile/SCRUM/Waterfall) and familiarity with budgeting, ROI metrics, and vendor coordination will be valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, business or related field.
• PMP/PRINCE2 and/or Agile certification preferred but not required.
• Strong project management and leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Managing the implementation of small to medium projects.

• Strong project management and team leadership skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with sponsor reporting and escalation experience.
• Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong facilitation, collaboration, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to anticipate risks and devise solutions in the moment.
• Focused and versatile team player who is comfortable under pressure, ambiguity, frequent change, or unpredictability.
• Understand current and future business goals and ongoing IT issues to ensure business success.
• Understanding of software development lifecycles (i. e. Agile, SCRUM, Waterfall, Iterative).
• In depth understanding of project management concepts.

Experience

• More than four years of project management experience.
• Experience working on project and portfolio management Tools (Visio, MS Project, Clarity, etc.).

EDUCATION

• Bachelors' degree in computer science, information technology, business or related field PMP, Prince 2 and/or Agile certification (preferred but not required).

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. The estimated salary range for this position is $XX- $XX and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of X% of the base salary. This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. We also provide full-time employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday and personal days (totaling 12 days), and sick time off (72 hours).
