Job summary

DCG Poland is seeking a Project Manager for Hadoop / Cloudera Platform Migration to lead a vendor replacement and platform migration project.

You will plan delivery, manage budgets, risks, dependencies, and run regular project meetings, reporting progress to SteerCo. The ideal candidate has about 7 years in PM roles, strong Hadoop/Cloudera experience, and fluent English.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional project management experience, preferably in large-scale IT transformation or Big Data projects.
• Strong knowledge of planning, risk and issue management in complex programs.
• Excellent English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Lead vendor replacement and platform migration projects.

Project Manager – Hadoop / Cloudera Platform Migration

Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate the vendor replacement and platform migration project
• Plan and manage project delivery, including timelines, dependencies, resources and risks
• Manage project budget, financial planning and forecasting
• Monitor project progress and proactively identify and **escalate** risks, issues and delivery dependencies
• Coordinate project teams and run regular project meetings
• Prepare progress reports and materials for Steering Committee (SteerCo) meetings
• Ensure structured project governance and predictable delivery throughout the project lifecycle

Requirements:

• Around 7 years of professional experience in Project Management, preferably within large-scale IT transformation, infrastructure or Big Data projects
• Proven experience as a Project Manager in a large-scale Big Data platform migration projects
• Strong, practical experience within the Hadoop / Cloudera environment
• Experience managing complex technology transformation or infrastructure projects
• Strong knowledge of project planning, risk and issue management
• Experience with budget management and financial forecasting
• Strong stakeholder management skills, including cooperation with senior and executive stakeholders
• Ability to analyse complex project dependencies and translate them into clear actions and delivery plans
• Excellent English, both written and spoken
