Opole University of Technology invites applications for the position of Professor in the group of research and teaching staff at the Faculty of Physical Education and Physiotherapy, in the discipline of Physical Culture Sciences.The person employed in this position will conduct research, teaching and organizational activities consistent with the research and educational profile of the Faculty of Physical Education and Physiotherapy. The main duties will include conducting scientific research in the field of Physical Culture Sciences, preparing and publishing research results, participating in research projects, and undertaking activities aimed at obtaining external funding for scientific research. The successful candidate will also contribute to the development of the Faculty’s research potential, cooperate with national and international research institutions, and present research findings at scientific conferences and other academic events.The scope of duties will also include teaching students in accordance with study programmes and the needs of the Faculty, preparing and updating teaching materials, providing consultations, supervising diploma theses, and supporting students’ scientific activity. Depending on the needs of the unit, the successful candidate may also participate in doctoral education and activities supporting the development of early-career researchers. The duties will also include initiating and conducting interdisciplinary research, participating in the preparation of research projects, and actively contributing to activities aimed at developing the research and teaching profile of the Faculty. The successful candidate will be required to participate in the organizational activities of the Faculty and the University, including work in committees, teams and other academic bodies, tasks related to the organization of teaching and research activities, as well as other organizational duties assigned by the immediate supervisor, arising from the needs of the Faculty and the University and falling within the scope of the responsibilities of an academic teacher.The scope of duties will also include participation in activities aimed at ensuring and improving the quality of education, promoting the scientific and teaching activities of the Faculty, organizing scientific, educational and science-popularization events, and cooperating with the socio-economic environment.The person employed as a Professor will be expected to continuously improve their scientific, teaching and professional competences, further develop their academic achievements, and actively contribute to the implementation of the development strategy of Opole University of Technology and the Faculty of Physical Education and Physiotherapy.
