Job description

Posting Type Remote/Hybrid Job Overview

WHO WE ARE Relativity is a leading legal data intelligence company building technology that helps users organize data, discover the truth, and act on it with confidence. Our AI-powered, cloud platform, RelativityOne, transforms massive volumes of complex information into actionable insights for litigation, investigations, regulatory inquiries, data breach responses, and other high-stakes legal work where accuracy and trust are crucial. The world’s largest law firms, corporations, and government agencies rely on Relativity’s legal AI software to securely surface and manage the most relevant and impactful information in their matters. Beyond our commercial impact, we are committed to expanding access to technology and supporting pro bono legal work.

WHAT WE DO

As part of the Integration Platform team, you will help evolve the eventing, orchestration, and service-to-service communication capabilities that enable reliable, scalable interactions across Relativity’s ecosystem. You will apply — and help improve — the integration patterns and tooling that are dependable for teams building on the platform, extensible for developers, and aligned with cloud architecture and reliability best practices. You will use data, customer feedback, and experimentation to validate that solutions solve the right problems and deliver measurable impact. This role offers the opportunity to work on critical platform infrastructure that directly impacts every Relativity customer and product team.

ABOUT THE ROLE

At Relativity we make software to help users organize data, discover the truth, and act on it. Our Legal Data Intelligence platform is used by more than 13,000 organizations around the world to manage large volumes of data and quickly identify key issues during litigation, internal investigations, and compliance projects. We are seeking a Product Manager to join our Integration Platform team, responsible for the integration backbone that connects systems and services across Relativity’s cloud platform — spanning eventing infrastructure and orchestration, service-to-service communication, and system integrations. This role is ideal for a product manager who enjoys working on foundational platform capabilities, thrives in ambiguity, and understands how technical decisions translate into customer value at scale. In this role, you will own problems for your product area across the lifecycle — from discovery through delivery — working closely with engineering, architecture, and senior product peers. You will develop deep empathy for both internal and external customers, including developers building on top of Relativity, and use that understanding to define clear outcomes, prioritize effectively, and guide execution. Success requires strong communication skills, comfort influencing without authority, and the ability to connect near-term delivery to the longer-term platform strategy shaped with your product leader.

Job Description and Requirements

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Own the roadmap, backlog, and goals for your product area within the Integration Platform, contributing to the product strategy shaped with your product leader.
  • Build user, market, and competitive knowledge and use it — together with data — to inform the product direction and articulate where your area is heading and why.
  • Communicate the roadmap and its value to stakeholders and leadership, and earn buy-in with both qualitative and quantitative evidence.
  • Define leading indicators of product health and project success for your area; adjust tactics based on insights from metrics and reporting.
  • Run structured discovery with internal teams and external developers building on the platform — interviews, usability testing, and experimentation — to surface what is not working, validate what is, and generate the evidence that shapes the roadmap.
  • Contribute research and analysis to build/buy/partner decisions for your area.
  • Engage in exploratory technical design with engineering and architecture to validate hypotheses and proposed solutions.
  • Make clear scoping and prioritization recommendations — own the triage of what ships now, what is a future bet, and what is out for your area; surface trade-offs transparently, document the reasoning, and elevate the calls that cross team boundaries.
  • Facilitate high-priority defect triage, management, and communication, holding the shipping cadence and the reliability standard together — platform bugs compound downstream.
  • Regularly communicate roadmap value to internal and external customers, speaking credibly both technically and from a business point of view.
  • Work collaboratively with technical design and development to validate direction, and with product marketing on go-to-market activities for your area.
  • Use AI tools as a force multiplier — in prototyping, research synthesis, spec drafting, and customer insight — and share what you learn with the team.
  • Build consensus and influence others without authority in day-to-day operations, keeping teams aligned and clearing — or escalating — blockers.
  • In the spirit of continuous improvement, provide high-quality, direct feedback to peers on both core values and work product, and actively seek the same for yourself.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Required 3+ years of experience in Product Management at a technology company, with demonstrated ownership of a product or product area through at least one lifecycle stage — discovery, active delivery, or scaled adoption. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies, including exposure to AI-powered SDLC environments where agentic tooling is part of how the work gets done. Working knowledge of APIs, event-driven architecture, and common integration patterns, with the ability to engage credibly in technical design discussions with engineers and architects. Knowledge and experience conducting discovery and usability testing to gather customer feedback. Data-informed: you use data to analyze and monitor product health, set goals, back up assumptions, and track success. Ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously and prioritize based on company and team objectives, with meticulous attention to detail in the creation and iteration of work. Excellent communication, facilitation, and analysis skills coupled with strong business and technical acumen, including problem-solving and critical thinking. Active user of AI tools to prototype, synthesize research, draft specs, and move faster.
  • Preferred 2+ years of related experience working within a cloud, API, or integration-focused environment. Strong understanding of technical solutions, including distributed systems, event-driven architecture, and service-to-service communication. Experience building developer-facing platform capabilities (APIs, SDKs, webhooks, or integration tooling) that serve both internal teams and external partners. Familiarity with emerging AI integration standards such as Model Context Protocol (MCP) or Agent-to-Agent (A2A) and how they shape platform extensibility. A technical foundation (computer science, engineering, math, or equivalent) that lets you work credibly with engineers. Experience working with multiple functional areas, including Project Management, Marketing, Engineering, UX/UI, and other stakeholders. History of working with OKRs (or other outcome-based frameworks) that prioritize outcomes over feature lists.

Required Skills: Agile Methodology, Cross-Functional Teamwork, Market Research, Market Strategy, Product Lifecycle, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Product Management, Product Strategies, Stakeholder Management, Team Leadership
