Job summary

Umicore Poland is offering a student/graduate role focused on supporting production monitoring, data analysis, and quality improvement within Battery Materials Solutions. You will engage with Production, Quality, Engineering, and R&D teams to collect data, run analyses, and support engineering projects.

The role emphasizes learning, teamwork, and working in a dynamic environment, with exposure to process optimization and process documentation activities.

Qualifications

  • Student or recent graduate in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or related technical field.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, industrial equipment, and engineering principles.
  • Analytical mindset with an interest in data analysis and problem-solving.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong willingness to learn and work in a dynamic team environment.
  • Good communication skills in English and Polish.

Responsibilities

  • Support monitoring of production processes and product quality through data analysis, visual inspections, and process performance tracking.
  • Assist in maintaining key process and quality parameters (KPCs/KCCs) and preparing reports, presentations, and performance reviews.
  • Participate in process trials, equipment testing, validation activities, and continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, productivity, and waste reduction.
  • Support process troubleshooting and problem-solving activities related to manufacturing and product quality.
  • Assist with technology transfers, industrialization activities, line qualifications, commissioning, and engineering projects.
  • Prepare and maintain engineering and quality documentation, including process flow charts, Control Plans, PFMEA, and CFMEA.
  • Support R&D, Process Engineering, and Industrialization teams through data collection, analysis, testing, and project coordination.
  • Collaborate with Production, Quality, Engineering, R&D, and global Subject Matter Experts on daily operational and project activities.
  • Follow all Safety, Environmental, Quality, and Energy Management System requirements.

Who we are looking for

  • Basic knowledge of quality tools such as FMEA, Control Plans, or SPC.
