Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Principal Tunnelling Engineer to lead design on major civil tunnelling projects across the UK. You will guide design teams, liaise with clients, and drive project development from concept to delivery.

We value a strong background in geotechnical principles, Eurocode-based design, and leadership of engineers on underground structures. Hybrid working options and career growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Civil & Structural Engineering, and/or MSc/MEng in Geotechnical/Tunnelling Engineering.
• Professional membership is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Act as Design Lead for elements of a project, liaising with clients and the wider design team.
• Manage more junior engineers in the design of infrastructure elements.
• Provide input to the develop and delivery of tunnelling projects.
