AECOM is seeking a Principal Engineer – Highways (Projektant Drogowy) in Warsaw to lead highway design efforts within a global Linear Infrastructures team. You will contribute from feasibility to detailed design across diverse projects, coordinating with multidisciplinary groups and clients in Europe, North America, and beyond.

You will apply international standards, mentor junior engineers, and ensure deliverables meet scope, budget, and schedule while leveraging your CAD expertise

Qualificações

• Proven track record of working on highway designs (+8 years).
• Experience with international regulations and standards (i.e. AASHTO; Australian Codes; British Standards, etc.).
• Experience in geometrical design with packages like InRoads, OpenRoads / OpenRail, Rail Track, Civil 3D, Geopak or 12d Model.
• Advanced level in CAD software (MicroStation and/or AutoCAD).
• Experience working in the North America region / Australia will be considered favorably.
• Advanced level of English (spoken and written).
• CV in English language.

Responsabilidades

• Works independently on projects or on defined sections of larger highway and linear infrastructure projects.
• Prepares and reviews detailed geometric design calculations, technical reports, and design documentation for highway infrastructure.
• Applies relevant design standards, guidelines, and best engineering practices related to highways and linear infrastructure.
• Delivers highway engineering work in accordance with agreed project scope, budget, and schedule.
• Performs independent self-checks of design work and participates in internal quality control and quality assurance reviews.
• Prepares and reviews project deliverables, including drawings, calculations, reports, and technical specifications.
• Coordinates design work with other disciplines (e.g. drainage, structures, utilities, traffic engineering).
• Identifies technical risks and proposes practical engineering solutions.
• Provides technical guidance, mentoring, and design support to junior and entry-level engineers.
• Ensures compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.

Job Description

We are currently recruiting for the role of Principal Engineer – Highways (Projektant Drogowy) with experience in roadway design, to join our ambitious and experienced Linear Infrastructures team. We are working on stages as early as feasibility studies up to detailed designs on a wide range of projects, either as standalone linear infrastructures team or as part of multidisciplinary teams. Our clients are from the private and public sector and include long term Framework Agreements with numerous Local Authorities together with Design and Build commissions for many major Contractors. Our office has an established track record of successfully delivering roadway designs for many years, throughout the USA, Canada and Australia. You may have the opportunity to work on some of the most iconic Transportation projects, being part of a diverse and multicultural Enterprise Capabilities Team (Poland/Spain).
