Job Description
Nokia Space Networks focuses on creating customized solutions and developing LTE and 5G commercial RAN, Cloud and Core products for customers operating in NTN. The NTN project is a partnership with AST Space Mobile company that enables direct mobile over‑satellite communication in 3GPP LTE and 5G standards.
Responsibilities
- Active participation in product architecture co‑creation
- High level product test strategy planning
- Provides estimates at early stage of feature definition
- Reviews system requirements and test strategy for new products and features
- Co‑ordinates multiple teams activities at all stages of integration and verification cycle
- Integrate and verify features in a customer‑close, end‑to‑end test lab with real equipment environment
- SW bugs troubleshooting, supervises individuals responsible for troubleshooting
- Cooperate closely with Architecture, Development and Customer teams
- Setting up test related processes
- Support demos, customer trials and pilots for your testing area (travel to customer and other R&D locations)
- Technical work planning and governance
- Mentoring and supervision of team members
Skills and Experience
- Advanced knowledge of telecommunication systems 4G/5G and 3GPP standard
- Advanced knowledge of telecom protocols, IP and networking
- Broad experience in verification in the following areas:
- Call processing – basic call processing functionality knowledge with data transfers, SMS, VoLTE, VoNR and CA
- UE and UE simulators – use of channel emulators, QXDM, Viavi, fading profiles, debug capabilities with QXDM, TTI, IQ, EMIL, syslogs
- Proficient/experienced in embedded software testing, including manual and automated methodologies
- Knowledge/familiarity with debugging tools for embedded systems and IP networks
- Experience in creating, reviewing and executing test plans
- Experience in identifying, documenting, and tracking defects in embedded systems
- Strong command/knowledge of scripting languages (Python, bash) for test automation and debugging
- Knowledge of other test related tools: RAIN, DCAP
- Other tools: Linux user, GIT
- Teamwork skills
- Analytical thinking
- Very good communication skills in English – both verbal and written
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications or a similar subject
- Readiness to work in a hybrid mode (Nokia Kraków office) is a must
